Top clothing-optional resorts uncovered
For travelers who really want the maximum sun, TripAdvisor has a list of the top ten resorts where clothing is optional.
These types of vacations are getting more and more popular, particularly at the luxury end of the market.
“People are looking for a more relaxed way to spend their vacation,” according to Carolyn Hawkins, public relations coordinator for the American Association for Nude Recreation.
“For travelers, a great vacation is all about escaping. For most that means escaping the confines of their homes, for others, it is best achieved by escaping the confines of their clothes,” said TripAdvisor spokeswoman Michele Perry.
Recommended sites include the AuNaturel Club in Riviera Maya, Mexico and the Living Water Spa in Desert Hot Springs, California. The later state is also the site for the Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs, once a celebrity retreat. “It’s a lace where you can feely totally comfortable shedding your stress, worries and cares right along with your clothes,†said one TripAdvisor editor.
The top places were picked according to travel popularity and TripAdvisor editors.
The entire list is on view at the site.
