Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors at Golden 1 Center April 15

Whilst in the city visitors should catch the city’s NBA basketball team, the Sacramento Kings, take on state rivals Golden State Warriors at the Golden 1 Centre in March. The crowd atmosphere here is electric and makes for a great day out.

 

Sacramento Pride June 14-15

Throughout the month of June Sacramento celebrates their LGBTQ community, the trailblazers who got the community to where it is today, and the continued perseverance and activism of the queer community in Sacramento and beyond. Official Sacramento Pride events include a Pride Festival and Pride March presented by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. Additional programming is hosted by businesses and organisations throughout the city all month long.

 

2025 Farm to Fork Festival September, dates TBD

The Farm to Fork Festival is a celebration of the region’s food and agriculture, and a chance to honor the people who bring delicious food and drinks to tables across the city every day. This highly anticipated festival, drawing thousands of visitors from across the country, will return to Sacramento’s Capitol Mall combining fresh food, local beers and wines, cooking demonstrations, interactive exhibits, a concert series and more.

 

Aftershock Music Festival October 2-5

California’s biggest rock festival is returning to Sacramento’s Discovery Park for its 12th year. With nonstop music from over 90 heavy metal and rock bands, some of the best food and drinks Sacramento has to offer and various sponsorship activations and experiences, Aftershock is a festival visitors won’t want to miss. The Aftershock lineup will be announced in the spring.

 

Golden Sky Country Music Festival October 17-19

Golden Sky festival is the ideal weekend for fans to don their Stetson hats and enjoy some good old country, headlined by Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, and Luke Bryan. It’s set to be an unforgettable weekend. Attendees will discover that Golden Sky is much more than a country music festival, they can try line dancing in the River City Saloon, enjoy food from some of the city’s best restaurants at The Farm House, and deck themselves out just like a cowboy or girl at the El Dorado Market.
