Top Indian Minister visits Australia
Narayan Datt Tiwari, the Chief Minister of the Indian State of Uttaranchal visited the offices o of the Government of India Tourist Office last week to meet with the travel media, wholesalers and operators
On a fact finding mission to understand first hand about what Aussie and Kiwi travellers are looking for, the Minisiter, amongst the most senior in India having held very senior State and national positions, was accompanied by a range of advisors including the head of the Uttaranchal Tourism Development Board.
Uttaranchal is a new State in the norther part of India, with some of the Himalayas’ highest mountains within its boundaries, but with small communities and stunning mountain landscape and the source of the holiest river in India, the Ganges, Uttaranchal is considered to be the most beautiful state in India and while it is a small state it more than makes up for that by its dynamism and determination to drive a new tourism industry their committment demonstrated by the Minster’s visit to Australia and New Zealand.
