Toronto airport returning to normal operations
Flights at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport were returning to normal after the Air France crash but officials advised travelers to check their airline in case of any disruptions of cancellations.
A statement by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) said the airport was now operational but at least one runway was still closed Thursday.
In the wake of the Air France flight that crashed and burned, with no injuries, airport officials are checking flight data and voice recorders.
Severe weather is generally believed to have been responsible for the crash but an investigation could take months.
Perhaps miraculously, no one was seriously injured in the accident.
