A Vietnamese tour guide has being questioned by police after three British tourists died while climbing waterfalls in a well-known beauty spot.

Tour firm Dam Me Company’s operations will also be suspended until investigations are complete, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said.

Local media said the bodies of two women and a man had been recovered downstream from the falls near Dalat in Lam Dong province in the central highlands.

The man has been named as 25-year-old Christian Sloan from Deal in Kent.

He died along with Izzy Squire, 19, and Beth Anderson, 25.

They all died of traumatic brain injuries after hitting rocks, according to police autopsy results, local media reported.

Tour guide Dang Van Sy said he warned the three tourists about going to an area where the water was dangerous but he said this was ignored.

The site was inspected by the UK ambassador to Vietnam at the weekend.
