Tour operator Trafalgar sees record bookings
Trafalgar is experiencing record bookings for their 2010 First Class USA and Canada escorted tours, with the numbers over 50 percent ahead of last year.
A number of their most popular itineraries, including Wild West, Cowboys and Buffalos, Best of the Canyonlands, East Coast USA & Canada, and Scenic Parks Explorer are almost sold out.
New departure dates have been added to accommodate the demand.
Trafalgar officials cite various factors as reasons for the record bookings: attractive prices, upscale hotel properties and the high number of experiences included on every tour.
Good word-of-mouth is also a factor, as is high customer ratings (98 percent positive) and pent-up demand from those who chose not to travel last year.
The addition of the Family Experiences with five itineraries designed specifically for families has also been a factor, they added.
Trafalgar is also making selected USA and Canada itineraries more affordable with a special savings incentive of up to $300 per couple when bookings with deposits are made by April 30 of this year for travel through Dec. 31.
The savings apply to a selection of eleven escorted tours ranging in length from 7 to 13 days, with savings of $100 per person/$200 per couple available for tours 9 days or less, and $150 per person/$300 per couple on tours 10 days or more.
A sampling of tours include:
—-Canada’s Rockies: 7-days, “special” price from $1,288.
Visiting Calgary, Athabasca Glacier, Jasper, Emerald Lake, Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Banff and more.
—-Rocky Mountain Adventures: 7-days, price from $1,650.
