Tourism minister Barbara Follett has voiced her support for new domestic tourism show, the Best of Britain & Ireland.
The event on March 28-29 at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London aims to highlight the quality and variety of UK accommodation available.
Only quality-assessed accommodation will be exhibiting at the show which is designed to showcase the best of the tourism offering in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Follett said: "I am delighted to be able to support the Best of Britain & Ireland event and extend my warm welcome to all of you attending this year.
”This is a great way of promoting the depth and breadth of our domestic tourism industry and to let everyone know about the huge range of relaxing and reviving opportunities available in our beautiful and varied country.
"From our coast, to our cities, our moors and our mountains, Britain has so much to offer and I hope this event will make even more people aware of them."
Forming the culmination of British Tourism Week on March 23-29, the consumer element of Best of Britain & Ireland covers a weekend featuring hotels, food, activities, walks, scenery and attractions.
Visitors will be able to plan their trip according to their interest, with themes such as Active, Coastal, Countryside, Flavours, Heritage and Luxury.
Show managing director Rob Mackenzie said: “In an environment where Brits will be spending more time researching and planning their holidays to get the best value for money, there has never been a better time to discover what the domestic tourism industry has to offer under one roof – and meet the faces behind the the fantastic places available to stay.”
Organised in partnership with VisitBritain, the event has the support of EnjoyEngland, VisitScotland, Tourism Ireland and VisitWales, exhibitors include regional tourist boards and a number of hotel groups such as Best Western, Radisson Edwardian, Classic British Hotels, Jury’s Inn and Pride of Britain Hotels.
