Tourist dies taking selfie at one of world’s top attractions
The man died when he fell off a cliff while trying to take a selfie at the ancient site of Machu Picchu in Peru.
Oliver Park, a 51-year-old German, allegedly went into a restricted area near a ravine to take the photo, said the Telegraph.
He slipped while trying to take a photo of himself jumping as if in flight.
He fell 100 metres into the ravine. A warden who was nearby alerted emergency services but the man was declared dead at the scene.
