Tours expand in China………………………..
APT World Discoveries has released its 2008 China brochure with two new features, the 18-day Cultural Delights tour now includes a nine-night Yangtze River cruise and the 17-day Roof of the World tour now includes a three-night stay in Lhasa, Tibet’s cultural centre.
The program features six tours, two which offer nine-night Yangtze cruising and four with five-night Yangtze itineraries. Cruising is on either Viking Century Sun or Viking Century Sky which offer spacious balcony staterooms and full ensuite bathrooms.
APT has launched the program with a $700 earlybird offer for bookings made before January 31.
The Three Gorges (Xiling, Wu and Qutang) and shore excursions to the great dam site, the hanging coffins of the Lesser Three Gorges and the Shiboaozhai Temple feature in all cruising itineraries.
The forbidden City in Beijing, the Great Wall at Badaling, the Terracotta Warriors at Xi’an, Shanghai and Hong Kong are featured in the touring itineraries.
APT General Manager Sales and Marketing, Chris Hall said the most popular tour will be 18-day Imperial China which features these main attractions, cruise and a farewell dinner harbour cruise and shopping in Hong Kong. It is priced from $6595 per person twin share.
The 17-day Roof of the World ($6445) and the 21-day Roof of the World and Hong Kong ($8345) packages include a flight from Beijing to Lhasa in Tibet. Three nights are spent there to visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkor Market and to experience the culture which includes meeting a Tibetian family in their home.
Prices include all domestic flights in China, cruising, touring, sightseeing, hotels, most meals, excursions and cultural shows.
