Travel 2/4 boosts Glasgow staff by 100

Travel 2 Travel 4 is to recruit a further 100 staff at its Glasgow reservations centre this summer.

The long haul operator is looking to bolster its workforce due to a forthcoming expansion in 2009.

The operator is looking to recruit in a number of areas, predominantly in the reservations centre but also team leaders, quality assurance managers and business managers.

Induction classes are scheduled to take place towards the end of July.

Recruitment and project officer Gary Arbuckle said: “In February 2008 we recruited over 30 new people and we’re now looking to expand the team by a further 100.

“We are introducing a range of yet more destinations, tours and hotels in our new 2009 brochures and expect sales to increase as a result.

“The bigger team obviously means we will also be able to provide agents with an even better and faster service.”

He added: “Recruitment of another 100 people demonstrates our continued commitment to the trade. Travel agents are vital to the success we’ve had recently and this drive will help improve the service we offer to agents even further.”
