Travel 2 partners with MSC Cruises
Travel 2 is partnering with MSC Cruises as part of plans to develop its cruise portfolio in 2015.
Launching on March 16, the new venture will enable agents to book tailor made packages using MSC itineraries departing from 27 regional airports directly through Travel 2.
The new partnership, which sees investment from both travel firms, will promote short haul as well as long haul cruising.
The dedicated Travel 2/MSC brochure will see European cruises packaged with low cost or scheduled flights.
Travel 2 managing director Andy Freeth said: "This partnership is hopefully the first of many that will enable agents to offer tailored cruise and stay packages to their customers, taking advantage of our unrivalled choice of competitive airfares, global portfolio of hotels, tours and transfers at competitive rates.
"In the next year you’ll see us investing a lot of time and energy in growing this area."
Giles Hawke, MSC Cruises executive director UK & Ireland, said: "By working together we will be able to get MSC Cruises in front of retailers who may not have worked with us before, as well as those who are looking for great-value cruise-and-stay options."
