Travel 2 Travel 4 expands res team

Travel 2 Travel 4 is expanding its reservations team after a switch to Freephone numbers led to a rise in calls.

The long-haul tailor made specialist is recruiting 26 additional reservations staff in its Glasgow call centre to service the increased calls.

It s is also recruiting two additional sales account managers who will focus on visiting and supporting travel agents.

Travel 2 Travel 4 changed all its reservations centre numbers to freephone on May 1 and, as a result, experienced some of its busiest ever days.

Managing director Maria Whiteman said: “The trigger for our investment in freephone numbers was travel agent feedback.

“We have demonstrated that we will listen and respond, and now we are being rewarded with a significant upturn in business.

“It is essential to us that as our call volumes increase, we have enough specialist reservations staff ready to take the calls.

“In preparation for the freephone switch Travel 2 Travel 4 had recruited and trained 50 reservations staff; we are now in the process of recruiting a further 26 to cope with the ongoing business increase that is projected across the rest of the year.”

Travel 2 Travel 4 is currently planning an increased training programme, including fam trips, for both the existing team and the new recruits, particularly in the accommodation and tours sectors.
