Travel 2 Travel 4 unveils fastest growing destinations for 2008
Thailand, New Zealand and the Middle East are seeing the largest increase in bookings for Travel 2 Travel 4.
The long-haul tailor made specialist operator said each of these destinations has experienced at least 20% year-on-year growth for travel in 2008, compared to 2007.
The figures take into account bookings across flights, hotels and tours, but the operator has seen particularly strong growth in self-drive, escorted touring and niche hotels.
Stephen Rhodes, managing director, Travel 2 Travel 4 commented: “Key new additions such as more boutique hotels in Thailand, a dedicated New Zealand brochure, and expansion in hotels and tours available in Oman and the United Arab Emirates have all contributed to growth in these regions.
“Plus, agents were able to access product on sale for 2008 bookings earlier and secure more instant confirmation hotel rooms than ever before.
“From a revenue point of view, these are destinations that generate high value commissions and therefore agents are reaping the benefits of the significant sales increases.”
The top ten destinations with the biggest year-on-year growth for travel in 2008, compared to 2007, are:
. Thailand
. New Zealand
. Middle East
. Singapore
. Hong Kong
. Malaysia
. Canada
. United States
. Australia
. South Africa
