Travel Counsellors offers commission free foreign exchange

Saturday, 10 May, 2004 0

Homeworking travel agency Travel Counsellors has introduced a commission free foreign exchange service.

The company claims a deal with International Currency Exchange will enable it to offer better exchange rates than Thomas Cook, the Post Office and high street banks.

Currency is delivered free for orders of more than £300 while a charge of £4.95 is levied on smaller amounts. The company says it will guarantee next day delivery on orders received before 14.00. Currency can also be collected free of charge from departure airports with 72 hours notice.

Meanwhile, Travel Counsellors says more than half of its 431 agents have signed up to attend the company’s first overseas staff conference.

The company expects at least 85% of agents will attend the event in Tenerife in December as 315 have already reserved places.

Travel Counsellors is chartering aircraft from Gatwick and Manchester to fly staff to the conference which is being staged at the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque.
