Travel Counsellors plans expansion across Irish Sea
Homeworking travel agency Travel Counsellors is to expand in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
The company plans a recruitment drive in the province and is considering establishing a joint venture company in Ireland.
Travel Counsellors has 450 homeworking agents in the UK including four in Northern Ireland. It hopes to increase numbers by holding an open day at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on January 16.
Recruitment manager Christine Power said: “We would love to increase our presence in Northern Ireland and feel we have a lot to offer agents who share our commitment to providing customers with the best possible customer service.
“We believe it is the right time to expand in Northern Ireland – there is a growing demand for the level of service and attention to detail we provide to customers planning their holiday.”
Travel Counsellors also plans a push into Ireland, which could involve setting up a joint venture in the country with an established Irish travel agency.
For the financial year ended October 31, 2004, Travel Counsellors increased its turnover by 32% to £128 million.
