Travel Counsellors reports rise in corporate travel
Travel Counsellors is reporting a 12% year-on-year rise in corporate travel sales.
The homeworking franchise group says it has earmarked the sector for further growth.
It says its agents secured over 450 new corporate travel accounts during the last 12 months, underlining the sector as a ‘significant growth area’.
More than a third (37%) of Travel Counsellors made a corporate booking in the last 12 months, which is 5% up on the same period last year.
Furthermore, a third now say that corporate bookings account for more than 40% of their business and 80% of these now focus almost exclusively on corporate travel.
"Recent strong growth has allowed us to invest further in the business, with the opening of a new London office and the expansion of our corporate travel offering," said chief executive Steve Byrne.
"We now have 1,600 Travel Counsellors across our global network, and we’re supporting more of them each in month in growing their corporate travel accounts."
