Travel Foundation confirms new CEO
Salli Felton has been confirmed as CEO of sustainable tourism charity the Travel Foundation.
She had previously been in the role in a caretaker capacity, but was given the job on a permanent basis after setting out her visioin for the future of the foundation, it said in a statement.
Chair of the trustees Noel Josephides added: "Salli has consistently proven herself both while acting as chief executive over the past 16 months, and throughout the rigorous recruitment process.
"She impressed the panel with her passion for tourism’s potential to make a difference, and her vision to build on the Travel Foundation’s considerable achievements over the past decade.
"We look forward to her applying her ideas in the coming months and years, to ensure we remain every bit as effective and necessary in the future as we are now."
Felton has worked for the Travel Foundation for three years, initially managing the organisation’s programmes of work before stepping-up to the role of CEO in February 2013 to provide maternity cover.
Previously, she worked at Virgin Holidays as responsible business manager and at BAA managing environmental projects.
