Travel Gossip, the travel industry’s social media forum, has welcomed its 10,000th member.

To celebrate and to thank members for their continued support, it has launched a special ‘Perfect 10’ prize giveaway.

Members will have the chance to win prizes  donated by 10 of Travel Gossip’s Premium Suppliers.

From April 27 until May 8, prizes include fam trips, a river cruise, long haul tickets, Tiffany vouchers, a meal for two at the Shard and a £200 Red Letter Day voucher (see full list below).

Launched in August 2011 by Sara Mason-Parker, the Travel Gossip community gives industry professionals the chance to ask questions in confidence, discover new products and services and share their knowledge and experience.

Since then it has grown to 10,000 trade-only members and over 12,700 followers on Twitter.

While suppliers are offered free membership, those looking for more prominence can pay for premium membership from £1,500 per year.

Amongst other benefits, members will have their logo added to the banner at the top of the Facebook page, get two weeks of promotional posts with the post pinned to the top of the group, receive Twitter exposure and have their link and logo displayed on the Travel Gossip web page.

Bruce Martin, director of Travel Gossip, said: ‘We are so proud to reach this special milestone and I’d like to thank all our members for making Travel Gossip such a success. Last month alone we had around 1,400 posts, 7,000 comments and 10,000 reactions. It’s amazing to see how popular it has become within the UK travel trade.’

Sara Mason-Parker, founder and director of Travel Gossip, added: ‘I’m so proud to be able to witness Travel Gossip grow into the engaging, fabulous travel community we have today. Thank you to all the travel agents, travel suppliers and travel services for embracing the group and to those who have donated such fantastic prizes.’
