Travel Gossip to consult members on joining criteria

Saturday, 21 Mar, 2019 0

Social media forum Travel Gossip has said it will ask members whether they think its policy of not allowing unbonded agents to join should be changed.

Director Bruce Martin was responding to comments posted on the Facebook site from agents criticising ABTA’s decision to grant InteleTravel UK membership.

The company now intends to pursue an ATOL.

In response to agents asking whether Travel Gossip would allow the company to join the group if it asked to become a member, director Bruce Martin said: "The policy for the last 12 months has been to NOT allow unbonded ‘agents’ into the group.

"Personally, I have no desire to change this policy but this is everyone’s group so I will want to seek input from members later on – maybe have a Meaningful Vote on it – they are all the rage these days!"
