Travelink goes no frills
Tour operator systems provider Travelink has added access to eight no frills carriers to its system. Travelink claims the technology is unique because it allows bookings within the system, which it says makes it different from other screen scraping software. The new solution is already being used by Thomas Cook brand Cultura. Managing director David Jones said: “Other screen-scraping products simply dump the traveller at the no-frills website – we have integrated the entire looking and booking process completely within the Travelink environment.” He added: “This is the next big step in tour operator technology. For a systems provider to offer a credible full-service offering to operators it should really include no-frills content.” The new product is available for bookings made online, on Viewdata and through call centres. No frills carriers bookable through Travelink comprise BMI baby, Easy Jet, FlyBE, My Travel Lite, Britannia Direct, Monarch, Jet2 and Air Scotland.
