Travelport announces new president
Technology provider Travelport has confirmed the promotion of deputy chief executive Gordon Wilson to the role of president and chief executive officer from tomorrow, replacing Jeff Clarke who will become executive chairman.
“Gordon has led Travelport’s GDS, the firm’s core business, comprising its global travel distribution capabilities and airline IT operations, for the last five years and has served as deputy CEO for the last year," said Clarke.
"With Gordon’s vision, deep industry, commercial and operational expertise he is ideally qualified to manage the firm globally.”
Wilson said that following the sale of GTA to Kuoni on May 5, Travelport was now focused on its GDS business.
