Travelport partners with The Parking Spot
Travel commerce platform Travelport has partnered with airport parking operator The Parking Spot to list its inventory of airport parking spaces directly to travel agents through Travelport Smartpoint.
Agents can select and reserve airport parking through the platform once they install The Parking Spot plugin.
It is the first near-airport parking operator in the US to integrate its product with a global distribution system.
"By partnering with Travelport, The Parking Spot is able to reach a larger audience of travel managers and agents and their customers. We are excited about the opportunity to better serve travel agents by helping them create a seamless travel experience for their customers at the point of booking," said Ed Orkand, VP of field sales at The Parking Spot.
The Parking Spot operates 38 locations at 21 major US airports and also runs the Spot Club loyalty program.
"Agents using Travelport Smartpoint now have a competitive advantage in offering their clients parking from the nation’s leading near-airport parking provider as part of a fully integrated trip solution," said Lynn Smith, Director of Strategic Business Development for Travelport.
