Travelport’s new training options

Saturday, 24 May, 2010 0

Travelport has expanded its GDS training and support offerings for travel agency customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Four new classroom training courses are being offered.

They range from a half-day advanced course on Travelport’s mid/back office solution, CrossCheck Travel Enterprise, basic to advanced ticketing courses, and a series of one, two and four day courses on the Galileo Desktop to accommodate varying skill levels.

Some courses now also cover car hire and hotels in addition to expanded Galileo Fares training.

New CrossCheck Travel tutorials have also been created to give agents a preview of the mid/back office solution using visual demonstrations.

These tutorials provide students with a better understanding of the product and are a pre-requisite for classroom training, which focuses on the end-to-end booking process.

“Travelport is committed to providing training and support to our travel agency customers, and we see this as imperative in ensuring that they receive the maximum benefits of our new technological enhancements,” said Jacinta McDonald, Travelport’s training and development manager, Pacific.

Virtual training options are also available for experienced consultants while Travelport eLearning remains a favourite for agents who wish to work on-line at their own pace and convenience.

ASK Travelport has also been boosted to provide Galileo subscribers with self-help tools to assist with password resets and status incident tracking.

ASK Travelport is an online help service which Galileo subscribers use to find responses to frequently asked questions or Tips and Tricks on topics such as host, fares and mid/back office which are continually updated.

Agents can register for all training options through Travelport’s Learning and Development portal on the company website: www.travelport.com/au or www.travelport.com/nz.
