Travelrepublic signs deal with Travelport
Travelrepublic has signed a three-year deal with Worldspan, part of the Travelport GDS, in the first step to expanding globally and in other European destinations.
The online retailer has grown rapidly selling charters, low-cost flights and accommodation in the short-haul market but is keen to grow beyond those markets.
Travelrepublic managing director Paul Furner said: “Our plans are to build a global product offering and to launch the brand in other European markets.
“The agreement with Worldspan is a hugely important milestone as we work towards achieving those goals.â€
In 2007, travelrepublic topped the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list as the UK’s fastest growing privately-owned company, with annual sales growth of over 284 per cent.
