Travelsphere to be sold through agents
Travelsphere will start selling through the travel trade with immediate effect.
Part of escorted tours specialist, The Page & Moy Travel Group, Travelsphere sells long haul tours, especially to China.
Colin Wilson, head of sales at The Page & Moy Travel Group, said: “The trade is a key element of the Page & Moy Travel Group’s distribution strategy.
“The group’s other two brands, Page & Moy and Just You, already successfully sell through the trade, so it makes perfect sense to adopt this approach for Travelsphere as well.
“Agents will continue to earn full commission on tours, as we will continue with our policy of having only one selling price across all channels.”
The group launches a TV advertising campaign this month on GMTV, ITV3, Sky News and the National Geographic Channel.
It will have a direct call to action at the end asking viewers to ‘ask their travel agent for more details.’
This announcement coincides with the rebranding of the Page & Moy Travel Group, previously called Kaleidoscope.
The group now boasts three brands – Page & Moy, Travelsphere and Just You.
Brochures will be distributed in the next two weeks and will include Europe and Worldwide by air, Europe by coach and rail, and a dedicated Christmas brochure.
The group has also appointed sales executive Julie Franklin, who joins from the Elite Travel Group.
She will be responsible for travel agency relationships in the Midlands and the South of England.
