Online media firm Travelzoo has topped 750,000 subscribers in the UK and claims to now reach more than one million a week in Europe.
Year on year UK subscriptions are up 270,000 to 785,000; in Germany, where Travelzoo has published for 10 months, subscriptions are up to 200,000. In France, which launched two weeks ago, Travelzoo has attracted 18,000 new subscribers.
The company’s European publications, which include its Travelzoo Top 20 e-mail newsletter and Newsflash e-mail alert, have attracted 480,000 new subscribers in the last 12 months.
A poll of 45,000 users found that 92% plan to book a holiday or short break before the end of the year, with an average spend of £355 per person.
Travel offers promoted in the European editions of the Travelzoo Top 20 last month received more than 1.5 million clicks, the company said.
