Triffitt flies from Thai to Air Calin
Aircalin has announced that they have appointed Ken Triffitt as the new General Manager for Australia and New Zealand based in Sydney, effective yesterday.
Ken has 23 years experience in international airline sales, spending the last 18 years with Thai Airways International, most recently as the Australian Sales Manager and in this role, Ken was also responsible for the carrier’s business generated from New Caledonia.
Jean-Michel Masson, Chief Executive Officer of Aircalin said Ken’s appointment comes at a time of crucial developments for the airline and the tourism industry in New Caledonia.
“Ken brings with him extensive experience in the Australian market place that will be invaluable to Aircalin as we continue to work together to get more Australians and New Zealanders to add New Caledonia to their list of most desired holiday destinations,” he said.
“The entire country is now focusing on working together to generate increased visitor arrivals from these key markets and I look forward to working with Ken on our plans to facilitate this growth”
Ken replaces Wayne Borland who has served as Aircalin General Manager for Australia and New Zealand for the last two years.
“Wayne has been a real asset to the airline as we have restructured and developed our business in Australia and New Zealand for the future and we wish him well in his future endeavours.” Mr Masson said.
