TRIPVISION TECHNOLOGY DELIVERS FAST AND EFFECTIVE TRAVEL MARKET RESEARCH

Sunday, 06 Apr, 2006 0

Travel market research company, TripVision, is using the latest technology to help travel and tourism companies gain a better insight into traveller habits and attitudes across all key sectors.

It is using the latest pulsar software to interrogate its database to deliver fast and accurate results to its travel customers. The customer can choose to use the Pulsar technology himself or herself, or TripVision can undertake the investigation on their behalf.

Managing Director, David Jones, elaborated, “Most market research companies only give aggregate totals. We understand that the market is made up of thousands of grains of information, which we can cross analyse to determine trends, and precipitate additional relevant questions. We can analyse what people buy and cross analyse the data to provide guidance on why they want it. This detailed information can be used to send out appropriate offers and suggestions to the right customers at the right time.”

The company holds a database of some 24,000 and is adding to this total by 1500 per month, derived from interviews conducted every month, calling people at home by ’phone and over the Internet. This ensures that the information is never more than four weeks old.

Jones concluded, “For example a first step might be to know that, say, the research shows that women in London between 30 and 45 do not visit a certain destination. When this information is cross analysed it will then explain that this is because they like more ‘off the beaten track’ places. This group can then be targeted with much more appropriate offers that are likely to interest them. It also avoids sending out irrelevant products which could bore or even irritate the potential client.”

TripVision offers a range of cost effective entry points to its database. For further information please visit www.trip-vision.com
