Tropical cyclone heads to coast of Madagascar
Madagascar is on high alert as tropical cylone Hellen is forecast to strike the island later today.
The storm looks set to hit the southwest of Mahajanga before turning towards Mozambique.
Weather experts say the cyclone, which has been intensifying over the weekend, will bring heavy rainfall, winds of over 100 mph in parts of northern Madagascar and flooding.
The Foreign Office advised British Nationals to take extra caution, monitor local media reports and to follow the advice of the local authorities.
