Trump Hotels adding a second luxury resort in Indonesia
Fresh from announcing its entry in Asia Pacific with a luxury resort in Bali, Trump Hotels Collection is adding another property in Indonesia.
A high end resort is slated for Lido in Bogor, West Java located less than two hours from the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
The first phase development will include an upscale hotel resort with 18-hole Ernie Els championship golf course and country club, a destination spa and residential units.
"Trump Hotel Collection is involved in the master plan of this spectacular development, which will include the first Trump golf course in Asia as well as a world-class spa, luxurious hotel and residences," said Donald Trump Jr., executive vice president of development and acquisitions.
"Being on board at this early stage ensures the Lido development will reflect Trump Hotel Collection’s exacting standards and keen attention to detail."
Trump is again collaborating with developer and investment firm MNC Group on the resort with MNC also in talks to build a theme park on the site.
Work on the resort is scheduled to begin in 2018 when the two parties complete work on the Trump Bali resort.
"MNC is rebranding what is currently known as Lido Lakes to be the pride of Indonesia," said MNC Group CEO Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
"We look forward to creating a new ‘point of departure’ in the most populated archipelago in the world with this iconic resort development."
