TTG Asia: China set to be the next MICE powerhouse
SHANGHAI – Introducing this year’s sell-out IT&CM China, Darren Ng, managing director of TTG Asia Media, said China was poised to become the next MICE powerhouse.
“With the successful hosting of the Beijing Olympics, and the staging of upcoming mega events in 2010, such as the World Expo in Shanghai, and the Asian Games in Guangzhou, these catalysts will propel the country into the next phase of MICE development.â€
Ng added, “When we first introduced the show, the concept of ‘MICE’ was new to the Chinese.
“Through much promotion, education and networking before and during our show, we managed to enhance greater understanding and awareness among local industry players.
“As a result, this has helped to increase IT&CM China’s recognition and stature.â€
TTG Asia and MP International will partner once again to organise IT&CM China 2010. The tradeshow will return to Shanghai from 7 to 9 April 2010.
