TUI appoints new retail director
TUI UK & Ireland has appointed Belinda Vazquez as retail director.
She replaces Mark Bather, who joined in 2016 from phone giant O2 and has left TUI for personal reasons.
Currently director of Ireland and ancillaries, Vazquez will transition to head up the company’s retail division from May 1.
She will lead a team across TUI’s 600 stores and take responsibility for the company’s commercial relations and retail business support functions.
In her new role Vazquez will report into director of cruise and distribution Helen Caron and will work closely with head of retail Ste Bracegirdle.
Vazquez will retain responsibility for Ireland and Ancillaries until a successor is appointed.
Caron said: "This is such a key leadership role and I’m confident that Belinda is the perfect choice, given her wealth of experience in varied areas over her 20 years in the business, most recently as director of Ireland since January 2017."
