TUI Group developing digital multi-day tours platform
TUI has inked an agreement for a new digital platform focused on multi-day tours, to be developed in partnership with travel technology company Nezasa.
The agreement supports TUI’s continuing focus on strategic investments in digital platform capabilities to improve efficiency and to enable further growth in the tours and activities sector.
It says it will lead to better, more personalised experiences for customers.
The multi-day tours sector remains largely offline and highly fragmented, TUI says, and it hopes to drive transformation of the market and bolster its position as a leading player
"We have achieved strong growth in excursions, activities and tickets through the Musement platform and will now leverage this experience to drive the digitalisation of the multi-day tours market," stated David Schelp, CEO of TUI Musement, which is the tours and activities division of TUI Group.
"With Nezasa, we will build a multi-day tours platform for the next era of travel."
The new platform will integrate with TUI’s tech and infrastructure ecosystem and development is aleady underway.
The platform will be available for all Musement and all TUI source markets globally.
"We strongly believe in the huge potential that digitalisation provides for this segment. We look forward to combining TUI’s tourism expertise with our unique technology," said Manuel Hilty, CEO of Nezasa.
