TUI named as one of UK’s greenest companies
TUI Travel is in the top 20% of UK companies striving to cut carbon emissions according to the Government, which published its Carbon Reduction Commitment Performance League table today.
TUI said the ranking reflected the "substantial effort" it has made to cut its carbon footprint, including installing automatic meter readers in more than 95% of its high street shops and rolling out energy efficient air conditioning units, lighting, computers and printers across shops and head offices.
The travel company was recently awarded the Carbon Trust Standard following steps to reduce its contribution to climate change.
