TUI staff named as next Marella godmothers
Marella Cruises has revealed two TUI staff will become godmothers of its new ship, Marella Explorer 2.
They are executive sous chef Mary Moreno, who has worked with Marella Cruises since 2015 and TUI Airways cabin manager Paula Clark, based at Luton, who has worked with the company since 1975.
TUI described Moreno as an ‘unsung hero’, and said Clark had ‘more than earned her wings’ in her 45-year career with the company, which she joined when it was Britannia Airways.
Marella Explorer 2 is the line’s first adult-only ship, which launches this summer.
Marella Cruises managing director Chris Hackney said: "For every ship we have launched, we have asked people on board or in head office to be our godmothers.
"It’s a great way of recognising what they do for Marella and the broader business."
