TUI’s specialist holiday group now payable by phone
TUI’s Specialist Holidays Group has teamed up with Barclay Pingit to enable holidaymakers to pay on their mobile phone.
The group of specialist brands – including Meon Villas, Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia, Sovereign and Sunsail – claims to be the first tour operator to offer customers the option to pay wherever and whenever.
The app is free to download and can be used by anyone who has a UK mobile number and a UK bank account.
Colin Parselle, finance director at SHG, said: "We recognise that our customers want choice when it comes to their payment options and Barclays Pingit provides a quick, easy and convenient way for them to pay for their holiday bookings."
Mike Walters, head of UK corporate payments at Barclays said: "Consumer behaviour when it comes to making payments is changing as convenience and ease become top priorities."
