Turkish Airlines plans huge aircraft order
Turkish Airlines is set to make a mammoth aircraft order of 600 jets next month, chairman Ahmet Bolat said.
Bolat told Reuters the order would comprise 400 narrow-body aircraft and 200 wide-body.
“During the IATA AGM we are going to announce orders.”
We are almost finishing our discussions,” Bolat said.
He said it will be with ‘one of the big manufacturers.’
Bo;at had previously said it was in talks with Boeing.
It is unclear how many would be firm orders and options to buy.
It would be the biggest ever, eclipsing Air India’s recent order for 470 jets.
