Turkish, Vietnam Airlines mull codeshare pact
Vietnam Airlines and Turkish Airlines signed a new MoU to expand cooperation in passenger and cargo transport operations.
There are tentative plans to codeshare on passenger flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Istanbul.
Turkish Airlines currently flies to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from Istanbul
“Through this cooperation, customers will have more choices of new destinations on both airlines’ networks,” a joint statement said.
The carriers signed the agreement at the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.
“We attach importance to expanding our cooperation with Vietnam Airlines both in passenger and cargo,” Turkish Airlines chief investment and technology officer Levent Konukcu said.
