Tweet for suites: MGM’s M life announces new social media/mobile program
MGM Resorts International’s M life loyalty program is expanding through two new Vegas programs with Visa and Topguest, targeted to get members to interface with social media.
M life Mobile Offers will provide personalized offers for MGM Resorts’ destinations in Las Vegas for Visa account members who opt into the program. Visa account holders can go to www.visa.com/mlife to enroll their Visa account and mobile phone number. Members get offers designed to enhance their Vegas trip via SMS texts to their mobile phones. The smart technology will be triggered by the guest’s purchases. For instance, if they make a ticket purchase for a show, they’ll receive a text with an offer for a pre-theatre dinner. Retail purchases can result in discounts or deals for similar purchases.
M life Mobile Offers will launch later this year at Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Miss.; Gold Strike in Tunica, Miss.; and MGM Grand Detroit.
M life Social Rewards with Topguest will reward members for sharing experiences via social networks. Members who link social media accounts get 500 M life Tier Credits when they check in virtually with Facebook Places or Foursqare, post a location-tagged tweet on Twitter or share an Instagram photo from MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and also in Biloxi, Miss; Tunica, Miss or Detroit.
Members can earn 500 Tier Credits per resort per day.
In Las Vegas, members can rack up to 6,000 credits if they visit all 12 participating properties in a day, allowing them to advance more quickly to the next Tier Level.
A cap of 7,500 Tier Credits are allowed per quarter. A grand total of 30,000 a year can be earned through Tweeting, Facebooking and other social media activity.
