Two hospitalised after Qantas flight hits major air turbulence
A Qantas passenger and a crew member were hospitalised after a bout of severe air turbulence.
A domestic QantasLink flight hit the air turbulence on the flight from Brisbane to Hervey Bay.
It had to turn back shortly after take-off.
Ambulance crews met the plane upon landing.
Five people were treated for minor injuries while two others were transported to hospital.
A crew member had a neck injury, and one passenger suffered cuts.
The other passengers on the flight were put on another flight later in the evening.
