Two men charged over shooting of British cruise passengers in Caribbean
A man charged with shooting a couple of British holidaymakers in Barbados and his alleged accomplice have appeared in court on the Caribbean island.
Ann Prior, 59, and Philip Prior, 72 from Suffolk, who were on a three-month P&O cruise around the Caribbean and South America, were attacked in Bridgetown on March 17 during a stopover.
Mr Prior was hit on his left side and his wife was shot in her right thigh.
Junior Orlando Hunte, 28, of Rices, St Philip, Barbados, has been charged with robbing Mrs Prior and causing serious bodily harm to both her and her husband.
Marlon Gooding, 35, of Union, St Philip, Barbados, has been charged with robbery.
They appeared at the Oistins Magistrate Court and were remanded in custody.
Mr and Mrs Prior later rejoined the Adonia, which is due to arrive back in Southampton on April 3.
