Two Paris-bound flights diverted after mid-air bomb threats
Two Air France flights from the US were diverted last night after they both received mid-air bomb threats.
Air France flight 65 from Los Angeles and Air France flight 55 from Washington were en-route to Paris when the anonymous threats were received.
Flight 65 immediately diverted to Salt Lake City in Utah and flight 55 was diverted to Halifax on the east coast of Canada.
All passengers safely disembarked and were taken to airport terminals where they were interviewed by the security officials in the US and Canada.
As no credible threat was found onboard flight 65 it was allowed to continue to Paris. However, flight 55 remained in Canada and no return time has been issued.
