Uber debuts first marketing campaign in India

Saturday, 26 Sep, 2016 0
Ride sharing giant Uber has launched its first ever in-country advertising campaign for the India market.

Entitled ‘Move Forward’ it showcases real life stories of Uber driver partners and riders rather than promoting the features of the service itself.

"We thought it would be an opportune moment to launch our brand campaign, riding on our three-year anniversary. We hope to reach out to driver partners and riders both, but primarily catering to the rider audience," said Ashwin Dias, Uber India general manager.

"In this brand campaign we have brought to life our product through stories which will resonate with millions of Indians."

Uber tapped creative agency BBH India to produce the ‘heart-warming’ ads.

Following Uber’s pull out of China after selling out to rival Didi Chuxing, Indian now represents its biggest potential market.

Uber India also introduced its ‘scheduled rides’ feature which allows users to book a trip up to 30 days in advance.
