UK Foreign Office issues alert over Thailand sex attacks
The UK Foreign Office is warning of the risk of sex attacks in Thailand tourist hotspots.
Violent sex attacks and unprovoked assault have been reported in tourist destinations.
“These are particularly common during Full Moon parties and other similar events,” it said.
It warns of the dangers of accepting and leaving drinks.
“Be careful about taking drinks from strangers or leaving your drinks unattended.”
Drink spiking and drug assisted sexual assault have been reported.
The new advisory comes the same week a British organised crime boss on the run for years was arrested in Thailand.
