UKinbound announces convention details
UKinbound has announced details of its annual Convention, to be held 6-8 February 2013 in Windsor.
Based around the theme, ‘After the Gold Rush’, over 200 delegates are expected to attend the conference. Speakers confirmed include Tim Montgomerie, best known as creator and editor of the ConservativeHome website and described as "one of the most important Conservative activists of the past 20 years", who will offer a political stance on the issues affecting the inbound tourism industry.
An Audience with Raymond Blanc will give delegates the opportunity to chat with the chef, who heads up 18 Brasserie Blancs around the country, and gain insight into the workings of the F&B industry.
Bill Turnbull, best known for co-presenting BBC One’s Breakfast programme, will moderate the conference.
UKinbound chief executive, Mary Rance said: "Recent pivotal events, such as the Royal Wedding and 2012 Olympic Games have shone the spotlight on the UK and increased awareness of the country’s sights and attractions for visitors and tourists alike.
"Now we are looking beyond this, ‘After the Gold Rush’, as it is more important than ever to harness their legacy and look for opportunities that will grow and develop inbound tourism, an important contributor to the UK economy.
"The Convention therefore promises to be a pivotal forum in which to discuss the future of the inbound tourism industry, looking at opportunities and potential obstacles that could impact upon visitor numbers in 2013 and beyond."
