United Airlines previews new website
United Airlines has given a sneak preview of its new redesigned website which it says will offer streamlined booking and more personalization.
The official launch is later this summer but the carrier is enabling customers to try out new design and functionality at beta.united.com.
United says flight searches can be filtered by an expanded variety of means, including aircraft type, the availability of in-seat power outlets, Wi-Fi access, and preferred connection cities.
Other new features include the ability to check online if upgrades are available for a specific flight and customized widgets that gives MileagePlus members quick access to saved searches, alerts and travel history.
"We reimagined the flight booking experience from the ground up. We kept our customers’ needs and preferences for personalized travel at the center of the design to offer an entirely new and improved experience altogether," said Scott Wilson, United’s vice president of merchandising and eCommerce.
