United increases frequency from Heathrow
United Airlines will add an additional daily flight between London Heathrow and Houston on March 31.
With the launch of the extra frequency, the airline will offer its new First class product on the route for the first time, providing passengers with flat beds and an upgraded service.
From April 2, United will operate three daily services between the two cities.
The additional flight, UA971, will depart Heathrow daily at 13:35, arriving in Houston at 18:10 the same day.
The return flight, UA970, will depart Houston daily at 20:30, arriving at Heathrow at 12:05 the next day.
The flights will be operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 183 seats – six in United Global FirstSM, 26 in busiess and 151 in economy, including 67 Economy Plus® seats.
"With strong demand for travel to Houston and beyond via our largest hub, we are pleased to offer customers on the route not only increased schedule options but also the chance to experience our Global First product for the first time," said United’s managing director sales, U.K. & Ireland Bob Schumacher.
