United to serve transatlantic routes with newest Dreamliner jets
United Airlines is deploying its newest Boeing 787 Dreanliners on six transatlantic routes next year.
Its new Boeing 787-10 jets will fly across the Atlantic from its Newark hub to Frankfurt and Tel Aviv from March 30, 2019.
Barcelona and Paris Charles de Gaulle are next up from April 29, 2019, and then to Brussels and Dublin beginning on May 22, 2019.
All but the Tel Aviv route will see seat additional capacity as a result of a shift to the 787-10, which seats 318 passengers in a three-class configuration.
"Our Boeing 787-10 aircraft will enable us to connect even more New York City customers to Europe and beyond," said Patrick Quayle, United’s VP of international network.
United received its first 787-10 jets earlier this month and will take delivery of two more the end of the year.
United became the third customer for Boeing’s latest Dreamliner variant and the first in North America.
