Universal moves UK sales office to London
Universal Orlando Resort has named a new managing director to lead sales and marketing in Europe and is moving its office to London from Manchester.
Additionally, Paul Kelly, a 10-year veteran with Universal Parks and Resorts, will be moving to London and has been appointed sales director.
New managing director Simon Presswell will work from Universal’s London office, moving from Citrix Online, where he was regional vice president for EMEA. Previously he was at Cendant, lastminute.com, American Express and Thomas Cook.
The new London office will be located at 80-110 New Oxford Street WC1S 2 HB. The office is located in the same building as the UK operation of its New York-based parent company, NBC Universal.
Dennis Quinn, vice president of international sales and marketing for Universal Orlando Resort, said: “Our move to Prospect House in London unites us with other NBC Universal businesses to give our company a more focused presence in the UK.
“The move also puts us closer to many of our clients – and gives us a more central location from which to better serve all our clients in the UK and Europe.â€
The move follows Universal Orlando’s opening of The Simpsons Ride and the beginning of preparations to open The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in late 2009.
