Uniworld executive appointed as CLIA chair of Trade Relations
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has appointed Uniworld executive Kristian Anderson as the trade group’s new chair of the CLIA Trade Relations Committee.
He is global sales SVP at Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection.
As new chair, Anderson will lead strategy for the committee which engages the agent community to increase consumer and media awareness and the benefits of cruise tourism.
It also serves to highlight the industry’s commitment to safety, security, health and sustainability.
"Kristian Anderson has been a strong sales leader within the tourism and cruise industry for many years and we are very excited to have him leading our Trade Relations Committee," said Marla Phaneuf, CLIA’s vice president, industry relations.
"Kristian is an avid supporter of industry growth and serving as TRC chair will increase his ability to elevate the cruise industry to a higher level."
Before Uniworld, Anderson served as general manager at Silversea Cruises responsible for American markets.
He takes over as TRC chair from Royal Caribbean International’s senior vice president of sales and trade support, Vicki Freed, who was committee chair for 2017.
